Try and pray your 5 prayers a day and if you can go to the mosque even better for you.
Or go with a friend.
Try and read a page of the Qur’an every day.
Ignore negative thoughts as they are from shaitain.
I find journaling a good way of self evaluating yourself. Write down how you are feeling when you go through this
Then at a later date read through it and reflect on your feelings. Write down your after thoughts and then continue doing this.
Praying helps and will give you solice but you also need to understand the root cause to your actions and how you can change yourself.
